Interview

Today we return to Bremen. Yesterday we were contacted by the Lancaster Eagle-Gazette. They want to interview us and the Burnworths about the adoption programme and how we met.

In the morning we visit the American Legion Post at Bremen city, to view the plaque and take some pictures of it. On this memorial are the 8 names of the soldiers who lived at Bremen and died during the World War.

After lunch we drive back to Terry's house to wait for the reporter. Matthew Berry, the photographer is the first to arrive. By the time he prepared his equipment, Carl Burnett Jr., the reporter also arrived. It is an animated interview.

Both Terry and I are given the time to explain how we met for the first time and what the adoption program means to us. At the end we express the hope that the United States will start commemorations for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

The article can be read on the website of the Lancaster Eagle-Gazette.
